(File pix) Fariz Ramli said the cheque issued by the firm had bounced, and the company had issued two letters, dated Oct 18 and Nov 18, to inform him of the rescheduling of his payment.

FARIZ Ramli sold his car to a company on Sept 7 last year, but has yet to receive his full payment amounting RM29,750.

He said he had received and signed the bill of sale for a Nissan Latio 1.6L.

He said the cheque issued by the firm had bounced, and the company had issued two letters, dated Oct 18 and Nov 18, to inform him of the rescheduling of his payment.

“Until today, I have yet to receive the full payment. After lodging a police report, I was told that the car had a new owner.

“I hope the police can investigate this case. I need the money to pay for my children’s education fees.”

He said he wished to know the status of the investigation.

ACTIONLINE:

Inspector Kumathy said the case was under investigation, and a letter had been sent to Fariz to update him on the progress.

“Police cannot take action once contracts and agreements are signed by the parties.

“Fariz needs to hire a lawyer to take action against the company and refer his case to the magistrate’s court.”
